Responsible Development

DPS Sporting Club Development, LLC., has a long history of thoughtful and environmentally sensitive planning in all of its previous projects. Planning efforts have preserved 5,460 acres of permanent open space, protected 29 miles of pristine river and ocean front, and restored historically significant buildings such as the Henry Ford Plantation. From careful planning by the DPS in-house Environmental Advocate to stewardship over all projects by the Club's resident Naturalist - all projects uphold a legacy of walking "lightly" on the land entrusted to them.

The Green Homes at The Greenbrier is the latest offering from DPS Sporting Club Development Company, LLC. Its reputation for good stewardship over local environments at each of its Sporting Clubs is a direct reflection of the professionals that make this company so great. With a long history of environmentally progressive developments, DPS is proud to present the Green Homes at The Greenbrier as the next evolutionary step of its sustainable approach to crafting world-class living spaces within active lifestyle communities.

The DPS Approach

Few developers within our category can claim the legacy of land stewardship DPS has built over the past 14 years. We believe in creating communities that complement the natural environment and serve as a place where our Sporting Club members can reconnect with their passions, their families and the land itself. It is our goal to provide you with an opportunity to live the fullest life possible so that you can leave a legacy of active living that stands in harmony with the wonders of the natural world around you.

The Sporting Club Family

The Green Homes at The Greenbrier is a neighborhood within The Greenbrier Sporting Club, one of several DPS Sporting Clubs. Each Sporting Club is designed to give members unlimited opportunities to explore and perfect Sporting activities connected to the land while enhancing relationships with family and other members. Other DPS Sporting Clubs built with an eye towards stewardship of the land include:

Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay - British West Indies

This private island community in the heart of the Caribbean features a 5,700-foot jet strip with on-site Customs and a deep water Marina. Because of the island's unusual north to south orientation, Ambergris Cay is home to a number of unique species of plants and animals. DPS has partnered with the San Diego Zoo and a number of other organizations to ensure the best possible conservation efforts. The result is a comprehensive Sporting Club experience that leaves 82% of the island as untouched, open space.

Snake River Sporting Club - Jackson Hole, Wyoming

From skiing to golfing, Snake River Sporting Club offers members the very best sporting activities, gourmet dining and personal service in the Mountain West region. DPS employed extensive measures to conserve local bald eagle populations and protect the adjacent Snake River from pollution. In fact, Snake River Sporting Club is a member of the Audubon Signature Sanctuary Program for golf courses created in association with Audubon International. Under this program, decisions are based on an environmental rather than economic approach during the design, construction and management of our project. This puts Snake River Sporting Club as one of only 1% of all golf courses in America with this certification.

The Ford Plantation - Richmond Hill, Georgia

The 1,800-acre Ford Plantation is a private family community limited to 400 homesites and centered on an appreciation of nature and a wide variety of year-round sporting activities. Club members enjoy a special combination of first-class sporting facilities and instruction, set amidst the natural beauty of this great American estate. Currently, the Sporting Club has four miles of Ogeechee River frontage under our stewardship and natural management. DPS is also responsible for stewardship of 784 acres of preserved wetlands, marshes, lakes and wildlife preserves.
